As we are getting ready to say goodbye to 2019, I thought I'd let you have a look at our Vasilopita, which is a traditional dessert. There's a lucky coin inside this cake, and legend has it that the one who finds the coin in their piece of the cake is getting 365 days full of luck. I was the lucky guy last year, and it was a great year for me indeed. Let's see what happens this year.
I'm more than happy with everything I accomplished in 2019, and grateful for every person I met and talked to. Life has been a sweet, crazy ride for me so far, and I hope the new year is going to be another awesome year. I sincerely wish you all the best, hope the coming new year brings you all the gifts of love and joy.

What are your plans for tonight?
I'm actually a house cat, and totally prefer to spend these days at home with family and friends. This way I can eat and drink as much as I want to, plus I don't have to waste my precious time in traffic jams or looking for a parking spot. I really don't get it how most people prefer to go through all this on a new year's day.
Plus the weather is cold, so there's nothing in the world that could make me abandon my fireplace. Oh home, sweet home.

This torte looks great :D. I have already found the "Vasilopita" recipe, I would like to bake that too, but without a lucky coin. You can also have bad luck if you swallow the lucky coin? Never mind, I am a security apostle :)

Lol, google translator messed it all up, but I was expecting that. I mean, I can understand what you were saying, but the sentences are not properly constructed. Hope my German wasn't that bad xD

Your German was first class, did you do it with a translator or do you know German so well?
I've often seen the Greek language and writing before and I've translated often, but before that it was totally foreign. I think that the Greek writing and language is very difficult.

Greek is probably hard to learn, but I think the same goes for German as well. All those nouns and articles.. ;)
:), I believe that almost every human being does himself most easily with the language he has learned from childhood. What do you think?

Let's make 2020 our best year yet! ;) I avoid setting New Year's resolutions, but this one works for me.
New years resolutions are nothing but ineffective ramblings of unfocussed minds. Better to set some real goals, and plans to achieve them, with a reason, a WHY they are important to achieve...But then, that's just me. We all do it differently.
