I'm Really Liking New Steem

in #newsteem5 years ago

Hey everyone,

So I am thinking of working steemit into my daily schedule of sites to post in as it really has improved since the last time I've been here. I would like to be able to monetize my blog with USD on top of crypto so I could make this site my full time job but for now it is still worth the time to post even if the steem is low.If you have been off for awhile, or are new here (Hey!) you might have noticed that things are picking up.

Here are just some of the things to be optimistic about:

  • We are now running ads. This might seem like a negative but this means we have money coming in and this is money that should get us to the point were the steem team stops selling every month to pay for expenses. They are working on making ads better and I hope soon we are passed the costs to run and have money to spare.

  • There are a lot of new ways to make steem and other tokens. There are new sites popping up for whatever your interests are and as they are just starting out you can really earn well for your work. The ones that I am using are:
    www.battlegames.io
    www.mediaofficials.io
    www.steemleo.com
    www.palnet.com
    www.steemace.io
These are all looking very promising and two of them are for gaming which is always good for me.

  • The quality of posting has increased as well as the activity. Now that people are being rewarded on new sites they are putting more effort into their work. There is also more people posting and commenting.

  • The feeling has been over-whelming positive in here. I have noticed in a vast majority of posts and comments that people are starting to be optimistic about steem and our future.

  • Gaming is starting to become a thing here as we are getting more and more games. Remember every game is another way to use steem and it brings up the value of the coin. You have seen the success of Splinterlands here and there are more games coming. If you are a game dev looking for a place to make your game I highly recommend making it on the steem blockchain.

There is still a lot of work to do but we are heading in the right direction.I want to see us get inflation under control and start getting more steem off the market. And of course I want to see more ways to bring money into the ecosystem. Lets keep posting and working to strengthen the community here.

Remember no matter what site you are posting on or what game you are playing we are all on team steem.

What things are you liking here?

I'm struggle now against myself, trying to be less game-con person.
All my life I kept saying "I hate games"

I am finding the addition of battlegames and steemace for gaming curation and content to be the best, but overall having these platforms and tokens linked to steem-engine to bring out the best in communities, including the 50/50 rewards allowing curators to benefit and upvote quality content (which makes authors provide quality content), it all makes it more amazing.

It really is an exciting time to be participating in content creation communities!

I am loving the new realities too...so much to explore and diverse ways to earn. Cheers!

I'm really liking it too, its brought new life into this place and given us a lot more options in terms of offerings for new users. I just think that we need to start looking at onboarding outside steem more, there are so many users who would benefit from the services we've created but have no idea about it

I would have never thought that Splinterlands would be so engaging and feel that for that project alone, the possibilities are limitless as they are still in early adoption phase and have not been impacted by the declines seen as they are creating their own value here! More projects like this could surely make a difference in the long run!

Also, we have www.sportstalksocial.com
Although, it is a dot com but should we be bordered about that. Anyway, my point is it is another fork of steemit, to show that people accept this chain despite its shortcomings.
Whatageek, I need your support in any way whatsoever please.

Let's hope things start getting some traction.

I'm really enjoying this last days though. The hf21 is already implemented?

Today I've noticed the distribution of payouts are different.

The payouts are different now, but that's not because of HF21. You mean different because you now get STEEM, SP and SBD, right?

That's because the SBD price is that low at moment. I'm not sure how it works in details, but if the ratio of STEEM market cap (or price?) to SBD market cap is too low, a part of the payout is made in STEEM instead of SBD.

Maybe someone else can explain the details and correct me, if I wrote something wrong.

Thanks!

I thought it was already because of HF21.

Have a great day.

Now, we need the next missing piece of the puzzle... the commercial sector.

Let me know what you think @whatageek about my lastest community centered account's post about how we can avoid killing the golden goose with an unbalanced ecosystem

I really do hope to hear influencers' thoughts like yourself into this observation, and if it is possible with this growing new spurt to catapult something greater - towards mass adoption in the future
