"Steemit is becoming a giant photo blog"

in #newsteem5 years ago

Just came back to reality after an hour of undesired and non relevant afternoon extended nap which usually makes me bitter and a presence to walk away from. I saw my laptop turned on and also noticed that it turned dark outside and one comment from some guy on Steemit came to my mind: "Steemit is becoming a giant photo blog".

It might be true, as I don't see it similar to the 2018 Steemit, when it was kind of a collection of self improvement articles, tons of posts dedicated to blockchain and thousands of crypto related one with the natural Steem praising one sprayed with hopium from mister Ned . We're on a new level on the stair of evolution for Steem and some of the most appreciated posts right now seem to be the photography ones.

I like photography posts and I've had myself quite a few and probably I will have more in the future when the case will be, but my question now is:"are they way better than the other types?". Probably yes, since the ex bid bots decided to turn that much attention towards them.

You can't go wrong with a photo blog when a curator though, because only if you are blind you can't spot a fake from an original in such segment, so, putting this type of bloggers under your auto vote spell you won't risk anything. "Quality posts" are rewarded, you get your curation done and get that juicy curation reward for what you are putting the effort and money at work and everybody's happy.

Well, not everybody. First of all, when you do your bidness on auto pilot mode you may overlook some other bloggers that post about science for example, tech, spirituality, health, relevant news, poetry and so on, which honestly, in my opinion, deserve, in most of the cases, the same love as a photography post. Time, passion, energy and effort is invested in every category mentioned above. No exception. It feels a bit unbalanced the distribution of rewards though.

It's part of the #newsteem probably... Bid bots don't accept payments anymore, whales have taken back(in some cases) their voting power from bid bots, flag wars are back and "more refined", almost everything is on autopilot and recently one type of blogging on this platform is making it better than the others... Or I'm just too bitter in thinking now and gave too much attention to the above mentioned comment. What do you think? Is there any seed of truth in such a statement?

What's your favorite type of posts?

Thanks for attention,
Adrian
