A research organization in Bangladesh says that more than 6 lakh Rohingya Muslims fleeing Myanmar violence due to violence in Bangladesh will cost more than seven thousand crore rupees annually.

According to a seminar on Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) in Dhaka on Saturday, Executive Director of the company Dr Fahmida Khatun said.

He said that the Bangladesh government will have to try to ensure that international aid continues in the next fiscal year.

Otherwise, to ensure the food and shelter of this huge number of Rohingya from their own resources, there will be huge pressure on the budget.

Dr. Fahmida Khatun said in an interview given to BBC Bangalak of Pulak Gupta that the Rohingya refugees in an international conference in Geneva were given the same amount of help as needed in six months. They have calculated this estimate of seven thousand crores a year after assuming the base.

Where will this huge amount of money come from? Will this be the cost of the Bangladesh government, or will it come from different international sources?

In response to this question, Dr. Fahmida Khatun said that the commitment of the Rohingyas to various help till February is available from the international community. Now the question is, where will the six months remaining for the first six months of the year come from. The government of Bangladesh has not had such a big expenditure so far. But if Bangladesh has to bear partial burden for the help of Rohingyas, then it will create enormous pressure on Bangladesh's budget.

He said that Bangladesh will have to run 'Aid diplomacy' for this huge amount of money to the international community.
