I thought about this the other day, the media isn't in the business of giving you "breaking facts now", it is "breaking news now".
Which is whatever they know at the time, and they breathlessly report it even if it is wrong or an outright lie. Then days or weeks later they retract it without telling anyone and it gets deleted or edited on their website.
and they definitely have a Narrative frame that they work in; all the lies and distortions work in one direction
