Newslink: Robot taught to convey sign language – Techno 24

Korean scientists have taught the three-dimensional system to accompany speech with gestures, using 52 hours of recordings of speakers on TED Talks. Using the algorithm markup OpenPose and the neural network they were able to teach the system to accompany the synthesised speech the most likely gestures, and use it to control a humanoid robot.
