Mars rovers? Been there, done that. Now it's time for robots that can really explore distant worlds. From Sojourner in 1997 to Spirit, Opportunity, and Curiosity in the 21st century, four rovers have already explored the Red Planet, and the Mars 2020 rover (which is due to get a "proper" name this fall) is scheduled to launch in July 2020, and arrive in February 2021 to explore Jezero Crater.
