The Luxor (Luxor is based on the Greek "lux", meaning light or illumination) is not only a Egyptian themed hotel/casino. It is also a Freemasonic Temple.

Egyptian mythology is featured prominently in the ritualism of their secret society, exemplified in the first three degrees reflecting the Osirian cycle. Pictured below is the Egyptian Hall of the Grand Lodge of Freemasonry in Philadelphia, PA.

The shooter(s) were positioned on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay, just down the street from the Luxor's massive pyramid, sphinx, and obelisk. The 32nd degree of Freemasonry is the last degree one can obtain through their own merit.

This is all very reminiscent of the JFK assassination, which occurred just outside Dealy Plaza. Dealy Plaza is an outdoor Masonic temple, replete with it's own Egyptian symbology and obelisk, including a large torch symbolizing the illumination of man.

I didn't notice the symbology of a purifying fire in Vegas until I noticed the name of the concert. "Harvest Festival" makes me immediately recall Matthew 3:12:

"Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
