Coinbase Suspended Wikileaks Shop Account for the Violation of TOS

US-based cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase has reportedly closed an account owned by WikiLeaks Shop. The exchange has accused WikiLeaks Shop(the merchandise arm of international anonymous publishing non profit organization: WikiLeaks) of the violation of their Terms of Service.

WikiLeaks Shop’s tweet contains a screenshot of the alleged email from Coinbase stating that the account have been found in violation of Coinbase Terms of Service and is being blocked. Coinbase Spokesperson has refused to comment saying that they don't comment on individual accounts.

As per Coinbase TOS they can terminate any user account, at any time without any information.

Back in 2010 Bitcoin had received a boost when Paypal, Visa and Mastercard stopped providing services to Wikileaks and the company started using cryptocurrencies for is finances. Wikileaks Leader thanked US Government for the banking embargo, last fall on twitter, thereby forcing the organization to use Bitcoin as a mode of payment and yielding 50,000% returns.
The current Coinbase ban does not mean that the organization cannot accept cryptocurrencies; it just won't be doing so using Coinbase. The move has enraged the organization and its supporters. The official Wikileaks twitter account has called for the Global Blockade of Coinbase as an unfit member of crypto community.
