The Central Bank of Bahrain issued rules on cryptocurrencies

As reported by TradeArabia, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has finalized its rules on crypto-assets. The rules will deal with licensing, governance, minimum capital, control environment, risk management, AML/CFT, standards of business conduct, avoidance of conflicts of interest, reporting, and cyber security for crypto-asset services. Additionally, it will cover supervision and enforcement standards including those provided by a platform operator as a principal, agent, portfolio manager, adviser and as a custodian within or from Bahrain. However, the rules are still in its infant stage. Therefore, the Executive Director of CBB promised to enhance their regulatory framework to catch up on the pace.

Hacker moved 2.09 million EOS due to blacklist update failure

As reported by EOS block producer, EOS42, an anonymous hacker was able to move 2.09 million EOS from a hacked account. On Feb, 22nd, an EOS block producer dubbed “games.eos” apparently did not update the blacklist for EOS Mainnet accounts, thus causing the compromise.

Ontology launches development platform on Microsoft, Google and Amazon

In their latest blog, Ontology announced the release of their development platform on Google Cloud Platform Marketplace, making ONT one of the first public blockchains to have a development platform on the leading cloud provider marketplaces.

BTG Pactual launches real estate STO

According to the official statement from the entity, Thailand’s Security and Exchange Commission have approved more crypto used for ICO. They are: BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, XLM, ETC and BCH.

Coinomi wallet critical vulnerability has been found

A recent thread on Bitcointalk has reported a serious security issue, allowing hackers took away ~$60k from the users. After reporting to Coinomi, the team running the wallet silently delete their comments on the poster’s tweet and deny further responsibilities. Therefore, we recommend you to not use any hot wallet no matter what as you are not in control of your private key but the company.

Square reported increment in total revenue of Q4, 2018

Square, the payment network created by Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey reported a rise in Q4 revenue compared to that of Q2 and Q3. In Q2, Square has earned $37 million while in Q3, the number has risen to $43 million. According to the latest data by the company, Square Q4 revenue has jumped up to $52 million which is ~18% increase compared to Q3.
