My Thoughts On The Bout:
I am going for Andre Ward because I believe his boxing intelligence and pure determination and skill level will help him rise to the occasion. Sergey Kovalev is definitely a formidable opponent and has the capability of hurting Ward but I believe Ward is going to outbox Kovalev every round with finesse and tenacity. If Ward wins, I believe by Unanimous Decision, tonight, he will receive the three title belts from Kovalev and become a five time world champion. I'm sure that is all the motivation he needs to cement his legacy. Whoever wins, you definitely don't want to miss this fight!

Well... It looks like I'll be awake until six or seven in the morning today watching the fight as it happens in Las Vegas. I hope you guys enjoy the fight too.

Very exciting! I like Ward by UD!

WARD won by UD! I think he did enough to win and made a great comeback. Legendary status. I will write a post about this monumental feat for Ward.

Big feat and great fight, I thought Kovalev won but a rematch is imminent! Ward is still a great fighter, and if it was a 15 rounder he would have taken it for sure!

I could make a case for kovalev but I can make an even greater case for Ward. I can't wait for the rematch indeed but it should not be on HBO again. The commentators were so biased and one sided for Kovalev and the compubox stats were not accurate. Hopefully next Spring we can see the rematch and don't have to wait until next November!

This is going to be a great fight, and someone is going down.

My prediction was spot on! Ward did go down, but got back up fought to victory. It was a really really good fight! Thanks for commenting. Expect an update in-depth review post about this shortly. :)

Well, I only got to see from the 5rd onward. In my eyes 5- 12 it was Kovalev, and it seemed most of the commentators and Lederman all had it Kovalev. I like how Kellerman put it best. He said that the judges did not make a bad decision, maybe a controversial one, but not a bad one because the fight was close, and some of those rounds could have gone either way. There will definitely be a Part 2 to this one.

I completely agree. Max Kellerman couldn't have worded it better. I have seen some really bad decisions, even when the guy I was rooting for to win won and I knew they didn't deserve it but the other guy did. I would be upset because my fighter didn't deserve it and the other guy should have been awarded the win for his hard efforts. However, that isn't the case here. This fight is based a lot in preference and both fighters did their share of skill display, although I can make a good argumentative case for both fighters involved, I feel I can assess the entire match collectively in favor of Andre Ward and I'll attempt to do so with my opinions and observations shortly. Let's await to see how I can formulate this presentation properly, but nonetheless, Sergey Kovalev is a tremendous fighter, and I can't wait for the rematch. Kovalev is hungry for the early KO for the rematch and I'm really happy Andre Ward accepted the rematch for possibly mid to late next year.
