Researchers at security firm-UpGuard- have discovered a huge cache of classified US Army files and top-secret NSA documents stored on unprotected cloud servers, presumably stolen from the government's database.

As per UpGuard's report, highly sensitive information belonging to INSCOM (US Army Intelligence and Security Command)- a department managed jointly by NSA and the US Army- was stored on an Amazon Web Services cloud server that was not protected by any password, which means anyone with the URL can access the files.

The vulnerable files contained critical information such as the Defence Department's battlefield strategies and were labeled 'NOFORN', which means the documents were so sensitive that they were not supposed to be shared even with foreign allies.
