RE: I am Impressed! Diamond and Silk Under Oath in Front of Congress
I consider the barrier you cite to be a problem for Steemit. Social media isn't only for sages and professional authors, and if Steemit is limited to such an audience, other platforms will absorb the vast market ordinary people comprise.
Ordinary people can thrive on Steemit, if not become famous or wealthy from it. This is why I reckon differentiating venues for commercial and personal use is important and something Steemit should undertake.
Everyone needs a platform to share their voice, even if their voice is drawn from the common cloth we all share, rather than rich textures and forms limited to artists and inventors.
