RE: Conflicted Judge Protects Chevron Abuse of Amazon Villagers’ Attorney Donziger

in #news5 years ago (edited)

Government is predicated on theft. Taxation is just a mugging with the cooperation of the victim. Voting is just choosing between muggers. Consider the RICO case the Chrystic Institute brought in federal court back in the 1980s alleging the CIA smuggled tons of cocaine into the US. The judge, an employee of the federal government being sued, ruled the accusation that the CIA was importing cocaine into the US frivolous and fined the Chrystic Institute $1M, bankrupting it. The probative evidence of that smuggling didn't matter.

Might makes right. That's why we accede to government. We basically agree to pay protection money to a gang that will protect us from other gangs. It is pretty obvious that government takes protection money from other gangs too, and Chevron is just another gang that pays more money to the government gang than Ecuadorian villagers.

What should we expect? Justice?

Thanks!
