The organization responsible for the coordination of European flights said that it had repaired an anomaly in its electronic system that had caused large-scale flight delays.
Earlier, Eurocontrol said the imbalance could affect up to half of the total number of trips, about 15,000.
She later added that the electronic system had been repaired at 7:00 p.m. (GMT).
The imbalance, which occurred Tuesday, was the second of its kind in 20 years, the latter in 2001, said the organization.
The system is coordinating 36,000 flights a day, of which 29,000 were scheduled for Tuesday when the malfunction occurred
