So ... About That Turkey "False Flag"

A Little Backstory

Just weeks after the former Director of the CIA, Mike Morell went on the Charlie Rose show and said ...

We need to make the Iranians pay a price in Syria. We need to make the Russians pay a price.

To which Mr. Rose responded ...

We need to make them pay a price by killing Russians and killing Iranians?

And Morell confirms ...

Yes. Yes. Covertly.

... this happened.

Vladimir Putin’s driver is killed in a head on car crash.

Even worse, Morell was not alone in his warmongering rhetoric.

Then six days prior to the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov, being assassinated, once again the former Deputy Director of the CIA Mike Morell called for the US to respond to the unproven claims from anonymous sources that Russia hacked the US election.

The threats from Morell were simply echoing President Obama's own sentiments from December 15th, when he warned Vladimir Putin that the United States would retaliate.

At this same time, Putin and Turkey's President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, were pushing for peace talks without the involvement of the United States or United Nations.

So Morell took things a step further, calling for the retaliation to be "overt" and "painful to Putin". If this were South Park, this is where I would make a Trevor's Axiom reference.

In order for a US response to actually result in deterrence, two things have to be true : one, it has to be overt, it has got to be seen; and two, it has got to be painful to Putin.

Six days later ...

Andrey Karlov is killed on live TV.

Mission accomplished or coincidence?

Deputy chairman of the Russian upper chamber's defence and security committee, Franz Klintsevich, had this to say ...

It can be ISIS, or the Kurdish army which tries to hurt Erdogan. But may be - and it is highly likely - that representatives of foreign NATO secret services are behind it. What has happened is a true provocation, a challenge. It is a challenge for Russia.

To use a great movie title to describe the situation ... "There Will Be Blood"

Or as Vladimir Putin put it later ...

I wonder who Putin consider's "the killers" to be ... hmmmm. Perhaps Mr. Klintsevich's comment above will give us a hint.
