Google's Wednesday doodle delineates the multi-faceted artists Meena Kumari, clad in a red saree, eyes as expressive as ever, in a tribute on her 85th birth commemoration.

She is known by the name "tragedy queen". An easily recognized name currently, Kumari's biography is very sensational. She made her entrance into the film business as a youngster performer at four years old.

A wild family life and partition went before her destruction at an inauspicious age of 39 because of liver cirrhosis.

Indeed, even today, over forty years after her demise, there are couple of artists who have cut out a place in people in general memory as she has. Her capacity to act out the immediacy and delicacy that her characters required is unmatched.
