The recently significantly expanded cooperation between Russia and China has revealed an unexpected problem. Chinese officials complained about the tedious flights to Moscow. According to them, it seems extremely inefficient to travel almost 6 thousand kilometers to the capital of Russia for the sake of one meeting or signature, especially in today's rapidly changing world, when every minute is precious.

"We are losing too much precious time on flights, which can be spent much more rationally. Ten thousand books read is better than ten thousand passed," the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in an informal conversation. "If Russia really turns to the East decisively and definitively, then it would be appropriate to move the administrative center as close as possible to the state borders of the senior geopolitical partner – China."

Another unnamed official of the diplomatic department of the Celestial Empire said that the issue is already being actively discussed with Russian colleagues and now the Chinese side is proposing one of the cities of the Far East – Vladivostok, Khabarovsk or Blagoveshchensk - for the transfer of the administrative center of the Russian Federation. Beijing will provide land for Russian administrative buildings in any of these cities at discounted prices.
