The United States imposes sanctions on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The sanctions against Maduro are to add to the already long list of Venezuelan government officials who have come under the aegis of the American authorities. The Trump administration freezes the chavist president's assets under American jurisdiction and forbids Americans from doing business with him.
