Good, if you don't like an offensive name fight it in the private sphere, don't give the government dangerous and unconstitutional power because your feelings are hurt.
I'm still surprised the likes of Sotomayor and Kagan ruled with the majority on this. But I suppose that the justices are pretty liberal (in the classic sense) when it comes to free speech. There are only a few specific areas where they disagree, such as campaign finance laws.
It troubles me that this type of case made it to the Supreme Court.
Freedom of speech means that you can espouse truly horrific opinions and ideologies in an unfettered manner - provided they do not incite violence/dangerous actions.
Freedom of speech does not mean "only voicing popular ideas." Ethnic slurs are protected.
That's just the way it is.
I love when the Supreme Court actually follows the Constitution.
To be honest the only free speech that actually offends me is flag burning... But I still support free speech 100%... Even in it's shittiest forms
