After Charlottesville, I think we could all do with revisiting this Charlie Chaplin speech
Charlie Chaplin is famous for silence. But when he finally opened his mouth, words of undeniable beauty hatched and boarded in the minds of cinemagoers, who came for laughs but left which something less fleeting; Hope.
Never lose hope. Human kindness and intelligence will always triumph, for evil - however powerful - will always be outnumbered.
Human progress may ebb and flow, but is uncontainable by the hands of leaders of men. Whose lives and the values that fuel them - intolerance, hatred, violence, jealousy - are all but a blip on the tapestry of the human experience.
Those who control us and divide us will one day be compost. Evil men will come and go again, no doubt. Though they cannot restrain the human realisation of what connects each and every one of us, for doing so would be like bridling the rising sun.

Please let it be true! It's hard to be strong and have hope in times like these. Anyway, thanks for the post. I was starting to think I needed to give up on Steemit, at least the social network part. I've seen a lot of posts that scare the shit out of me. Just plain mean spirited.

This shows that absolutely nothing has changed unfortunately its the same power struggles, the same families in power with the desire to control As Americans It is my opinion that we have been spoiled for a good many years. Taking our Liberties for granted perhaps not teaching our children properly about its utter importance. This is the result... We need to get back to teaching our children and grand children and getting to know our neighbors breaking bread and sharing thoughts so what seems to be coming is a civil war in America based on nothing real, does not ever happen again. Unfortunately, Billions of dollars are spent for these very behaviors so we must warn our children of exploitations and teach our children what holds real value and what is destructive to them and to our nation as a whole.

There seems to be some covering up going on by the US State Department in regards to Brennan Gilmore and his actions in Central Africa with the Kony 2012 campaign and its connections to Soros. He's the main media personality who provided video of the event. I put together a large post with quite a bit of material explaining how Tom Perriello is one of the founders of Avaaz which is involved with Soros and regime change operations in Libya and Syria.
