The scent of the 11th century
Castle Greifenstein
Unfortunately the castle is closed at the moment. That is why I was only able to take some pics with my drone DJI Spark. It will be renovated within the next years and opens up soon. A private investor bought it on the internet for 2,5 Million Euros.
The Castle is surrounded by a lovely forest which is well known for hiking and mountain biking. I love to go "forest bathing" in the woods nearby.
The castle is located near River Danube and close to a very nice lake where people enjoy their spare time. Although the riverside can be quite crowded the castle itself a secret place.
The Leopoldsberg is one of Vienna's famous hills. From there you have a great view! You hit it on the way back from Castle Greifenstein to the city.
