Seems a serious scandal threatens the Spanish Football Association (Soccer for my US friends). The Vice President of the Spanish Football Association was arrested in Barcelona with fierce accusations.
Andreu Subies got arrested this morning in Barcelona in the course of investigations on suspicion of embezzlement. The 48 year old VP of the Spanish Football Federation RFEF is accused of actually stealing - or say it more elegant - re-locating funds of the Spanish Football association for private stuff. Subies has just taken over his role 6 months ago and is responsible for finance and economic affairs - perfect job it seems.
In addition to his current role the investigations got extended also to his previous role as president of the Catalan regional football association between 2011 and 2018.
Most of the time where there is smoke there is a fire somewhere.
Looks at the scandal in Belgium, which is expanding outside the country limits. Ethics are far to be seen in football :(
