Band of brothers to down Sweden in World Cup quarter-final

The England captain says the team spirit, belief and confidence gained from their shoot-out win over Colombia can help them conquer bogey side Sweden in the quarter-finals.

Asked what he felt when he looked round the dressing room, the striker said: “Just like family really. I look at them as my brothers, and they do the same. We will do anything for each other.

“Definitely there’s a hunger because of the other night. When you go through a battle like that, it gives you so much energy and belief to go and do it again.

“We’re hungry for more. We love that feeling. If it goes to extra time and penalties, we’ll be ready for that. We’re ready to do whatever it takes.

I personally think England will Win today.
