The Prime Minister attends the closing ceremony of the Saudi-led military exercise

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today joined the concluding parade of a huge joint military exercise led by Saudi Arabia. This parade is being held in the eastern province of al-Jubail in 'Gulf Shield -1'.

The Prime Minister is attending the ceremony on the invitation of Saudi King and Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud, the custodian of the two Holy Mosques. Members of the Armed Forces of 24 countries, including Bangladesh in the parade, are participating.

Saudi Arabia organizes this month-long military exercise in coordination and cooperation with the defense forces of the Gulf countries to safeguard the security and peace of the Gulf region.

King Salman will witness the closing ceremonies of this military exercise held in a month-long month along with a number of leaders of friendly countries.

Military observer spokesman Brigadier General Abdullah al-Shawyi said on Saturday that the Saudi Ministry of Defense has organized this exercise with the participation of the forces, navies and air forces of 24 countries.

The exercise began on 18 March. A 18-member delegation of Bangladesh Armed Forces participated in this.

Abdullah said this exercise will be held on both the conventional and non-combatable military operations.

The spokesman said that the idea of ​​joint military war plan planning to prevent hostile activities that could threaten security and stability in the region is being implemented in one of the key goals of this exercise.

Analysts consider it as the largest military exercise in the region, according to the number of participating countries and the quality of the weapons used in it.

The Prime Minister will leave Dammam for London this afternoon to attend the meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government in London this afternoon.
