A Brief Look at China's First Domestically Built Aircraft Carrier.

in #news7 years ago

Just this week China launched this unnamed vessel but know as "type-001a" and they have more in the works but how does it compare to Americas new Aircraft carrier the USS Gerald Ford

I actually live in this city where it was built, Dalian China.

After years in the making it's finally leaving port and heading out to sea for training exercises near Qing Dao. I know many are under the impression that even though China's military is bigger in sheer numbers it is not as technologically advanced. This does not mean that they lack technology or that they are easy pickings like the fights in some middle eastern countries today. Maybe some of you have read articles about China hacking military blueprints from American contractors so who knows what they learned from that for defensive and offensive purposes.

America now has 10 carriers while China is now up to 2 and growing. Head to head I am quite certain the USS Gerald Ford would win but these ships never go to battle alone but it would be epic. I do find it odd that the Chinese carrier uses a conventional oil engine for power while the American carrier of course is nuclear.

China's got big plans in extending its control and stretching out its strength across the seas. Even in ancient times China had some of the biggest ships for their time. So long as they keep to their side of the world it' not a big deal for us in North America unless we make it a big deal which often is the case unfortunately.

They sure are. I love take a trip on one but not in battle. Lol

This is all over the news recently. Good marketing for their arsenal.
