Meanwhile here in Germany the army is apparently suffering dozens of scandals. It ranges from(but is not limited to):
abuse of recruits(male and female) by their superiors
recruits collapsing in training because of drug abuse or exhaustion
army soldier arrested for posing as a Syrian refugee and receiving social benefits while allegedly plotting a terror attack
army being undersupplied, lacking basic equipment (such as winter uniforms)
spy planes having bright LED control panels and therefore being visible to the enemy on the ground
weapons such as the G36 losing shot accuracy in warm weather conditions
Having no reliable transport planes for heavy cargo
All that while the transatlantic friendly majority of mass media is pushing the "Russian Threat" agenda.
Looks like the population is being prepared for a significant raise in military spending, improving the reputation of the army(through propaganda and fear mongering) which would alow one or multiple proxy(for the time being) wars against Russia without losing support among voters.

Well Germany basically still being a US colony, has all of its foreign policy run in favor of the US. They have been able to mostly abstain form major US wars such as the one in iraq or Libya. But those times are over since 2012 when the US enforced a more aggressive foreign policy doctrine:
