Italy has threatened to stop foreign boats carrying migrants rescued in the central Mediterranean Sea from docking in its ports, in a dramatic move to tighten its immigration policy amid a surge in arrivals in recent days.

In my opinion many European union countries have implemented to reduce incoming immigrants, and not a few immigrants have trouble in the country that gives them asylum
What I don't really understand is why do the migrants NEED to go to a European port, why not drop them off safely on a north African port?
They just need to europe because many european countries have a good economy in the world, europe is more advanced and they think if they to europe they will live prosperously in europe, what if they are to north africa? They will not get it. This is my opinion why they're Go to europe

We think the same, why did not they bring it back to north africa? In my opinion maybe in north africa they remain insecure, the governments in europe prefer to give asylum to them and protect them
