Where is everyone moving their steem?

in #news6 years ago

No one is powering up.. This isn't a good sign.. Where are you all moving your steem? Seems even the founders want to bail on this platform.. Should we even bother continuing with development?

Should we exist at this point? No one seems to really care... What point is there when no one else cares? Why spend 200 hours a month developing and another 200 hours marketing to have 0 new SP join and people just powering down andn now from what we hear NED powering down... WHAT reason is there? Does anyone care anymore? Or are we wasting our time?

I have power up yesterday ;)

Powered up recently. The pool is quite stable at above >300k SP.

To tackle the demotivation right now: We can't see the 200h in development and 200h in marketing. The last post from shadowbot is from the first January regarding new year. I don't know where those 200h in marketing are, but it is not @shadowbot posting. And this main account should post the important stuff.

Some suggestions:

Take a look at @steembasicincome.
They are posting daily/regularly. Interviews with members, contest (held by other people, where votes are going and so on.
Use those 200h in development and post over @shadowbot what’s going on. What was the latest feature that was implemented? What is the next thing coming? Keep it small, describe it precise. Not a “There is something coming”. For instance, @steembasicincome informed us about the automation feature way back, with a detailed post about the planning.

Another idea would be to show how rewarding one shadow rank is. How much someone is getting back from the pool. Because basically the whole pool is generating a basic income for everyone in the pool.

To tackle the other big part: Incentives. With SBI you can only gain a unit if you sponsor someone else. This gives us the possibility to pull more and more people into the program, thus spreading the word.
But please no referral program. There is no extra money magically generated with someone joining the pool. The amount of rshares generated by the pool is limited and we can only distribute that. So make it fair for everybody. Someone joining with a big amount of SP should at least receive the amount of rshares back he is giving out on votes. Even with shadow rank 1.

Totally agree with you. Why should we join shadowbot. With huge SP .
That's the reason people with 500+ sp join your system. You take almost 5 vote from user everyday and in return nothing if you doesn't have shadowrank above 50 that is useless.

It can be 4 things:

  1. they need the money to pay bills and expenses
  2. they have become afraid and are acting emotional
  3. they think steem will fail
  4. they want to hide their money from the public eye for whatever reason it may be

people are powering down for 2 reason 1st steem price is better they need to buy upvote from bots so they will invest in bots for profit second thing is smt is coming soon so people are waiting for price hike they will sell steem for profit

Honestly, we would buy in if it was at least marginally easier to purchase Steem or even SBD with fiat currency here in the states. Ya ya ya.. I know you can just buy a smidge of BTC and convert it to something -but it's a hassle, and then there are the fees and minimum purchase limits, etc.....ugh. The spirit is willing -the reality is mucked up in red tape.
