China's Yulin Dog Meat Festival

Yulin Dog Eating festival

The festival began in 2010 it is a very recent thing with a estimation of 10,000 dogs were killed in last years festival. Sadly this is only a small number in an estimated number of 25 million dogs are eaten every year worldwide. Not only are the dogs eaten they are beaten, boiled,tortured it makes sick to my stomach.

serious hygienic problems accumulate while the festival is on and there are even concerns of the meat itself. They also have a belief if the dog is beat it makes the meat better and also many of the dogs are unvaccinated, and rabies is a high concern.

Thanks for reading I read about this last year but I have not seen a lot of coverage for this year around social media. This story and festival makes me sick please spread this to make people aware of the horrible event.
