After the school massacre in the US state of Florida with 17 killed, several companies want to end their cooperation with the powerful arms lobby NRA. A number of companies, including insurers Chubb and MetLife, security firm Symantec, and car rental companies Avis Budget Group, Hertz, and Enterprise announced that they would no longer be associated with the NRA.

Corresponding partnership programs should therefore be terminated. In the majority of cases, these were benefitial for NRA members, such as benefits for certain insurance policies or while renting a car.
On Thursday, the First National Bank of Omaha had announced that it would not renew its contract with the NRA for a Visa credit card. "Customer feedback has led us to review our relationship with the NRA," the bank said in Twitter.

Social networks on the Internet have recently seen massive pressure from users. The hashtag #BoycottNRA was one of the most frequently used buzzwords on Twitter on Friday.

On Valentine's Day, a 19-year-old former high school student in Florida shot 17 people. The debate over the lax gun laws in the United States was thereby renewed. The NRA is regularly on the side of those who defend the right to carry a weapon.

President Donald Trump is considered NRA-friendly. Most recently, he had raised criticism with the proposal to equip teachers in the schools with weapons. But he also announced to intensify the reviews of potential weapons buyers.

I enjoyed the point Trevor Noah just made on The Daily Show which gives some context. When there is a airplane crash, who in power says "now is not the time to discuss airline safety". @sarasate

So eventually nobody will be able to buy guns at all. No more guns, just in case someone out there is irresponsible. Well I'll love not being around when that happens. It's not a right if it can be taken away, it's a privilege, and obviously a temporary one.

This great information I like it..
