Ormer Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Eddy Hiariej Allegedly Received Bribes of Up to IDR 8 Billion

Former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward OS Hiariej or Eddy Hiariej is suspected of receiving bribes and gratuities of up to IDR 8 billion from the President Director of PT Citra Lampia Mandiri Helmut Hermawan. This was revealed by the Corruption Eradication Commission on Thursday (7/12/2023) evening, during a press conference for Helmut's detention.

Bribes and gratuities were received by Eddy in relation to disputes over ownership status of a company, termination of legal proceedings at Bareskrim Polri, unblocking of the legal entity administration system, and the nomination of the Chairman of the All-Indonesia Tennis Association Central Board.
