Cringe: Mike Pence Tells Donald Trump How Much He Loves Him

Before Washington left for the legislative holiday last week, the GOP passed its sweeping tax legislation which takes effect next week in the new year. At a cabinet ceremony celebrating the legislative victory, Vice President Mike Pence sat before his president, Donald Trump, and showered him with such praise it made North Korean propaganda look understated.

One of the most interesting developments of the Trump presidency has been the President's penchant for press, stylized in a way that can only be described as "TRUMP." While those surrounding Trump in the meeting have each led very successful lives, often climbing to the top of his or her respective fields, none of them did it in such a performative way like Trump has. So when Pence, a career politician from the Midwest, is made to perform like a contestant on The Apprentice it looks so stilted and fake that it begins to feel like mind control for the rest of us.
