Sharia law is essential to Islam and the Koran. Islam hasnt' had their reformation yet. And until they do, the west is importing basically middle age religion beliefs into it's living room. Not a great idea.
Between Sharia in Quoren and the bible there is no big difference ! I read the tow books .
The probleme her is not Koren or islem .

The problem is the association between sharia and politic . This is the big problem.
The relegion must stay away from politic.
The problem is that the Koran is not what counts. What counts are the words of the Prophet Mohammad. An Islamic priest can always "override" anything that the Koran says if Muhammad says differently. Because Mohammad's words can not be challenged, because they are the direct word from Allah. The problem is NOT between Sharia and politics, because Sharia IS politics. Sharia are rules for how to live your life. So you can't put Sharia in one place and Politics in the other. They are not mutually exclusive.

I'm grateful for your respect. I'm sorry, but I can't respect your beliefs in return. I'm sure there are other things about you that I could respect if I knew you as a person. I do however tolerate your beliefs. But I also think Islam has to go through a reformation. If not, muslim countries will forever be backwards. Like most prophets Muhammad was wrong, and his "prophecies" really shows that he was just some confused person living in a time where people believed anything they were told. I mean..I've read about him, and it's just the rantings of a madman - even though he had some valid points that I'm sure was compliant to the time and age he was living in. I wish you luck and prosperity.

My friend it's not necessary to proof he's crazy. All he did was murdering and raping. You can't put mohammed in one sentence with Jesus Christ. His only weapon was to spread love and the word of god, which is again love. Sorry but killing can't be something good.

Actually, a hadith (saying of Muhammad, peace be upon him) is rejected if it directly contradicts the Qur'an. Rather, the Qur'an is understood through the words and teachings of Muhammad, as recorded in the hadith. Generally, the hadith bring the vague and inclusive statements of the Qur'an into the context of specific events or situations. The hadith can indeed be challenged, and there is rigorous debate around the authenticity of various hadith, but once authenticated, we accept the words of Muhammad (pbuh) as revelation on par with the Qur'an. Nobody, however, can override the Qur'an, and we Muslims don't actually have a formal system of priesthood, but rather scholarship. The only difference between one Muslim and another is in how educated they are (and how pious they are).
