Inhabitants of the state of Florida, in the United States, have been affected by an attack of iguanas that have been thawed after the passage of the hurricane bomb that hit the coast of the state in recent days, according to residents reported through Twitter.
Temperatures dropped below 5 degrees and this caused hundreds of iguanas to freeze and fall from the trees where they lived. Many believed they were dead and prepared to pick them up but they were surprised when the reptiles thawed and began to behave aggressively, according to Actualidad RT on its website.

On Twitter, several videos were distributed where the inhabitants of Florida collected the iguanas to save them. In January 2010, similar cases occurred in South Florida when the temperature dropped abruptly for two weeks.

Experts recommend not approaching frozen iguanas to avoid being attacked if they awaken from the drowsiness in which they submerge when temperatures drop.
