There are ways to improve the blockchain that Bitcoin uses by taking some notes of the security of the banks, to be able to surpass even the banks. The blockchain is a distributed database that is used to maintain a growing list of records for payments, called blocks. Each block contains a time stamp and a link to an earlier block. If people could use both two-step verification and spending limits in the block chain, this would reduce any economic loss at the hands of cyber attacks, and in turn would encourage more users.
