Shopping in a shop in Seattle is controlled by hundreds of cameras.

To get to the store, the visitor should open the Amazon application and scan the QR code by attaching the smartphone to the turnstile at the entrance.

The store's sales area is 1,8 thousand square feet (167 square meters). The assortment includes food, drinks, ready-made food sets, as well as products from the supermarket chain of healthy food Whole Foods, which Amazon acquired in the summer of 2017 for $ 13.7 billion.

In Amazon Go there are no baskets and trolleys - the buyer can add the purchases directly to his bag. The system automatically enters the selected goods in the virtual check or excludes them if the visitor changes his mind and returns something to the shelf. At the output, the system will automatically fix all purchased goods and will write off their cost from the user's account on Amazon.

Shopping for visitors is monitored by hundreds of small cameras installed above the shelves throughout the store. Representatives of Amazon did not disclose the details of the system, saying only that they use computer vision and machine learning technologies. This allows the retailer to identify each product without special chips for accounting.

There are no sellers in Amazon Go. The store employs only cooks who prepare meals for sale, as well as several support specialists who are ready to help visitors find the necessary goods and solve technical problems. In the alcohol department, there is an employee checking documents of clients before they take something from the shelf.
