From what I understand there are mainly two perspective here

  1. For net neutrality - Prevent TELCO from charging higher fees to certain companies / services. The fear is that if TELCO will provide unfair advantages to companies they support. Example if a TELCO has shares in Hulu they could provide faster and cheaper access to Hulu instead of Netflix. If Netflix want to have the same speed they have to pay more to the TELCO. Imagine this happening to smaller businesses where only the big boys can afford the TELCO's superior service. As expected supporters for this are the main TELCO (Yeah we can charge this companies that use more resources) companies and those against are the business that use the Internet Google, Netflix, etc (They don't want to pay more).

  2. On the flip side if there is no net neutrality then companies that has a deal with TELCO could Provide better services improving innovation and competition. Imagine that your TELCO supports Hulu so they can provide you with free Hulu subscription for 3 days every month. This means the consumer will have better services as Netflix will need to do something so they will not lose market share such as lowering the subscription fee etc.

There are Pros and Cons in the issue but for now I am with Net neutrality.

That is just my 2 satoshi...

:p
