The state doesn’t stop spending no matter who is in office. It’s like an out of control train hurtling down the tracks at full speed, the conductor has his head out the window screaming that everything is ok, it’ll be fine, yet his controls are stuck, the accelerator is stuck, and he’s just trying to give the passengers confidence that he is in control.
