Chandimal banned for two T20s

Due to slow-over rate, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned Dinesh Chandimal in two Twenty20 matches.Tigers touched the target of 215 in the second T20 in Colombo on Saturday, with 2 balls remaining.

So, the wicket-keeper batsman, who is unable to play against India on Wednesday and on Monday, is the wicket-keeper batsman.: Section 2.5.2 of the ICC rules, if not able to bowl 20 overs in a stipulated time, the provision of punishment for extra time has been made. And hence taking longer than the scheduled time, Chandimal has been banned for the next two matches.The match referee of ICC Elite Panel confirmed that the Board of Cricket (ICC) convicted the Lankan captain.Captain Mahmudullah Riyad, captain of the Bangladesh team, was cut 20 percent of the match fee, without the captain's captaincy.The two complained, field umpires Ranmo Martinez and Rabindra Wimalsiri and third umpire Lindon Honnabal and fourth umpire Deep Gurawardene.No further hearing was required because the Tiger team leader accepted the complaint.However, the host captain did not accept the responsibility of the complaint and the hearing involved the match officials, including the Sri Lanka team management team members.
