Zinc is crap, but buying pennies is a good idea, sort out all the zinc ones and take them back, keep all the copper ones, when copper prices are strong the copper in a penny is worth 3 cents. So you can have a currency that is both a fiat currency and a valuable and essential commodity.

No offense but even if the USD is in trouble it still is the most reliable asset you can have. Love your page @pressfortruth but i don't agree with you on this one.
Look at the history of world reserve currencies & their average lifespan. We are well past the average & debt is going to the moon. No coincidence there at all. Ever heard of a debt jubilee?

Still, if the USD will fail and don't see that happening in the upcoming 5 years. The VS will replace the dollar with another self-made currency that's worth about the same. So you will not lose your wealth...
Can you provide an actual example of something like this happening in history?
Yes, it happened in my own country. When every country was changing to the Euro in Europa. The "gulden"was switched for the euro. This was also because the coin was decreasing in value. So we could switch 2 gulden for 1 euro back then. But now it would be 15 gulden for 1 euro. But every article is written in the dutch language. So hard to find an english one mate.

The euro creation predates my economic fetishism by a few years so would be good for me to study how it went down.
Yeah, you can't predict the future, but if the US would get in financial trouble with the USD. This is what they could do.
Just create a "USD The Second" and trade that to the public against 1:1 and name that as the new paying system. So they can pay off all their debt with the new dollar. Because their debt is in the old dollar and the old dollar would massively decline in value. So this way they can start all over again.
Numerous of things that can happen just explained on of them to show you how easy it excatly is for the goverment. And no one loses their wealth this way.
