The Police weren't hiding, the Police were indoors on the campus ready for something bad to happen, but the Campus officials told them all was well. There is a photo a cop who posted anonymously what happened showing them all standing around doing nothing in some cafeteria all geared up and ready to roll. This was 100% staged.
Also it has been noted that Alex Soros went to UC Berkeley. That would be George Soros's son.
Correct word in English is maybe not hiding, on Stand-By are maybe the best word.

These protests definitely went too far with people destroying their own community, although I believe with either extreme, both left and right, danger arises for freedom of speech. People with all political views are entitled to their opinions, and can demonstrate all they want as long as they do not commit acts of violence, or take the rights of others to freedom of speech as some did in these protests
Yeah they were protesting a gay guy who mostly has sexual relationships with black people, because he is on the right and has not filter. So they call him racist, they attack him, and he is in the LGBT community.
They believe in Free Speech as long as you say what they want to hear. Hypocrisy is at a historical high point.
