RE: Hey Steemit, am I as much of a "cuck" as this hate mail says I am?

in #news6 years ago

IMHO even using the terms Cuck or Snowflake is allowing the far right extremists to gain power by letting them define terms in the argument and thus frame it. If you have seen the documentary based on Angela Nagle's Kill All Normies, it is clear that the whole far right meme machine grew out of Gamergate and an extremely sexist online culture bordering on psychopathic. To use terms like "cuck" is to validate to some degree their whole world view .. as if caring men who work together with the women in their lives are somehow weak, as if men are supposed to "dominate" all women .. this is puerile and juvenile thinking about relationships .. so my advice is not to even use the words cuck or snowflake because it allows this attitude media coverage as well as validity as a concept. It is not valid at all, it is dangerous and destructive.

definitely reasonable people can disagree about the value of ignoring vs taking over "their" terms
