BIKI the Fish Drone that Captures Video Underwater in 4K
The creators of BIKI describe it as the most powerful, ecological and portable underwater drone. Robosea presented the BIKI project on the Kickstarter and aims to raise funds to make the underwater drone a reality.
Among the features are the ability to dodge obstacles, to remain static in depth and to return to the starting point autonomously. The BIKI can be used in depths up to 196 feet and has a flap that flips to make it move in any direction. The movement is done silently to not disturb the marine ecosystem, with a maximum of 55 dB.
Robosea ensures that the BIKI brings a 4K camera and storage capacity up to 32GB, enough to store up to 120 minutes of video. The camera includes an image stabilizer and a 150-degree wide lens.
You can pilot the drone with your own remote control or an Android and iOS (iPhone) application with live view to see everything the device is recording.
The mentors of the project wanted to collect $20,000 and have already passed that goal. The BIKI will cost $549 for the first supporters, $599 for those who reach the second stage and $1024 for those waiting for the drone to arrive on the market.
