ATMs Are 'Jackpotting'

ATM manufacturers in the US are warning clients that their machines are being targeted by hackers. The two largest manufacturers, diebold nixdorf and NCR have issued a warning advising that criminals are forcing ATMs to spit out money which is known as jackpotting.
Jackpotting has been rising worldwide but it is now getting closer to the US, last year the jackpotting activity began in Mexico.
The alert included steps that they used to compromise the ATMS. Included are gaining physical access, replacing the hard drive and using an endoscope to depress an internal button to reset the ATM.
A better return than the bandits in the pub :D
I could just wish that an ATM would start spitting out $20 when I was using it. lol
