Android 6.0.1 on Windows Lumia 525
I remember telling someone just yesterday, "Android on a Windows phone will take a LONG time". But, talk about co-incidences.
Balázs Triszka (github: balika011) (xda: banmeifyouwant) yesterday posted a POC on XDA-Developers forums that he has successfully booted up Android (wait for it...) 6.0.1 on the Microsoft Lumia 525!
He said that this wil work on both the Lumia 520 and 525 but wouldn't be supporting other devices. But, according to his comments on the youtube video;
Any device that supported by the WP Internals for bootloader unlock can run android, but a lot of work to reverse engineer the drivers and configs and port them to Linux. Get 520/525 display working took a few moths.
the how ?
I fully removed WP and UEFI and flashed LK bootloader, TWRP and CM13.
As to the how is not entirely released to the public yet but expect a dev preview next weekend.

Cool stuff, but there is no point in updating this stuff. It's old tech and it's not useable In day to day use. It's very laggy. But thumbs up!
