Bitcoin

🔼 Amidst red-hot cryptocurrency demand, CFH Clearing has become the latest venue to offer liquidity in Bitcoin trading through FIX and MetaTrader 4 (MT4). The group’s initial offering entails Bitcoin contracts-for-difference (CFDs), with an expanded cryptocurrency suite already planned. https://goo.gl/iFHfFC

🔽 Ukraine does not recognize bitcoin as a currency or as a medium of exchange, an official at the country's central bank has said. "We can say that this is definitely not a currency, because there is no central issuer. And we cannot recognize this as a means of payment," said Oleg Churiy, deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine, according to a report Friday by the Ukrainian website Financial Club, as translated by Google.https://goo.gl/s7Pgqo

🔼Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) has revealed that it will start a full review of bitcoin exchanges operating in the country, which includes putting them under full surveillance starting in October. This step is to ensure they comply with the revised law which legalized bitcoin as a method of payment in April. https://goo.gl/WBLaTF

Ethereum

🔼 A dispute between some ethereum developers and miners is continuing to simmer over the specifics of a coming upgrade designed to improve the network's functionality. The discussion, which has been underway since at least July, currently concerns an ethereum improvement protocol, EIP 649, intended to reduce the time it takes to "mine" a transaction block, a process for which miners are rewarded with the creation of new ether, the platform's native cryptocurrency. https://goo.gl/5tWzrr

🔼Raiden’s announcement inspired commentary from some members of the community, one of whom openly questioned the motivation behind Raiden's token offering in a reddit post. The post asks why Raiden developers don't simply utilize Ether for the protocol's functionality. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin took time to respond to users on the social media site to allay misconceptions about Raiden developers being paid by the Ethereum Foundation; they are not. Buterin also made clear that Raiden is not an Ethereum Foundation product. In addition, Buterin said he would donate 100 percent of his advisor shares from two projects, OmiseGO and KyberNetwork, to either charity, second layer infrastructure funding for Ethereum, or a combination of the two. https://goo.gl/fFZwuJ

NEO

🔼The neo-US dollar (NEO/USD) exchange rate is showing signs of renewed life today.
As a China-based project, neo (formerly antshares) perhaps bore most of the brunt of the decision by the country's regulators to ban initial coin offerings (ICOs), falling nearly 40% over the day's trading on September 4. However, neo appears to now be recovering, posting a strong 10% gain today amid a dull market. https://goo.gl/qP9EiU

Blockchain News

🔼 The blockchain is coming to healthcare.

Over the past year, the chorus of voices calling for blockchain’s adoption in the medical profession is growing increasingly loud. Already, a pilot project from MIT’s Media Lab has shown great results in a pilot program with Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. There, the university has rolled out a blockchain application that creates a ledger for healthcare treatments on electronic health records. https://goo.gl/AevkhS

🔼For public health practitioners, the ability to quickly collect, analyze and take action on data is paramount to containing the spread of a deadly new virus or disease. But despite the advent of big data technologies, collecting this information today remains a highly cumbersome and time-consuming process, explains Jim Nasr, chief software architect at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the arm of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services tasked with combating the spread of preventive and chronic disease. https://goo.gl/koa5ad

🔼 Mizuho Financial Group is partnering with tech conglomerate Hitachi to develop a blockchain platform for supply chain management. Announced Thursday, the two companies have reportedly agreed to test a system built on technology from the open-source Hyperledger blockchain consortium to determine whether they can use an immutable ledger to record orders, invoices and otherwise collect data about company operations. https://goo.gl/J2oGcM

Final Summary:

Lightening or Raiden which one will come first? Well they will both add value to the network for sure but the question is when? Looking this week technicals it looks like both Ethereum and Bitcoin are poised to break higher if not 4000 for BTC and 300 for ETH will serve as major resistances. NEO breaks higher to $26 and will be looking for $30 ahead of the Red Pulse ICO. Total Market Cap is at 135BN and will be targeting 140BN
