🔼We have seen quite a few versions of Bitcoin introduced throughout the years. Although Bitcoin itself is still a factor, we also have Bitcoin Cash and the rumored Bitcoin Gold to contend with. It is likely we will see yet another chain added to the list, thanks to the SegWit2x hard fork in a few weeks. If that wasn’t enough, we now also have eBTC, which is an ERC20 version of Bitcoin. Final Summary:
Bitcoin seems to be holding up the market as majority of altcoins dip. Qtum also maintained its position though aspirations of being the “Blockchain of China” with Bitcoin Protocol and Ethereum Technology. It is a case of FOMO with Bitcoin now just like it was with Ethereum earlier in the year. This is most likely the cause of other cryptos declining. Seeing this negative correlation between bitcoin and altcoins is strange but maybe something we may see more of in the future.
