So Elon Musk is the new Willy Wonka

(Should we rather call him Elly Wonka)? or Elly Muska? Can't decide. Let's stick with Elon for now.

Before We Begin

Since my formal introduction post , I had been rather busy working on my own blog (it's almost finished now, I've successfully deployed it a day or two ago, but still, a lot needs to be done). I had been learning more and more about the #steemit community, keeping an eye on the #steemit developers (more on that later), experimenting and tweaking stuff here and there. I wanted to write the next few posts about tech, but this news hit me really hard.

Elon's Starting A Chocolate Company

In a few Tweets Elon Musk expressed his sudden interest in starting a new chocolate company.

When I read this news on CNN, I was like: What is this man thinking? Of all things, a chocolate company? Seriously?

Elon's pretty serious.

He made it very clear in these tweets.

Did I miss something? I started googling frantically. You can do a search yourself. You'll be surprised to find that these are the images that show up in google images when you search for Elon Musk.

People are calling him Willy Wonka. It all sounds like a joke. But remember his jokes about the flamethrower? And the Boring Company? I bet he's gonna start this company too.

Should Elon do this?

Elon already owns and runs SpaceX, Tesla, Solar City and of course, the Boring Company. Now, running all these multi-billion dollar companies ain't an easy task. And Tesla's been going through its own troubles lately. I don't know about you, but I do think that he would be overextending himself if he really starts a new company (esp. at this moment). Don't get me wrong, but running SpaceX and Tesla alone keeps him from going home (he's sleeping in the factory again) and all of a sudden, starting a new company? That's a bit unrealistic. In my opinion, taking the trouble of starting a new company (at this moment) is a bit absurd.

Conclusion

This is my 2nd post since the intro post post, the first one being this, where I shared my 2 cents on why we try to avoid something new because of our fear of mistakes. That post was rather unexpected for me to write 'cause I generally write about science, tech and the tech industry.
