Internet users in Indonesia crowdedly complained of mysterious calls to their numbers. The call turned out to be a scam (fraud) originating from a foreign country like Kenya or Congo.

The fraudsters will call the numbers at random, and if the victim is stuck and call back, then your pulse will be sucked.

The technique is called Call-back Scam, the fraudster will keep calling the victim. This case also had a chance in Australia.

But where did the fraudsters get the victim's phone number? The answer is because there could be someone who carelessly wrote down his number on the Internet.

Digital forensic expert Ruby Alamsyah tells how the lack of awareness of someone in writing phone information on the internet can harm others.

"This person does it in an organized manner by taking the number via the internet, there is software too, but this is not a leak from the operator," he said when contacted by Tekno Liputan6.com, Sunday (1/4/2018).

For example, there is someone who writes his phone number on a buying and selling site or on other platforms on the internet, so the fraudsters can easily analyze the number, then change the number slightly.

As a result, although the number of mobile phones on the internet only one person, but the number of victims will multiply.

Perpetrators also use various software to perform scam, but Ruby is reluctant to mention the name of the software because it is potentially misused.

For now, it's good to remind the people closest so do not origin-write phone numbers on the internet, because it can harm yourself and others.

Government Must Immediately Socialize

Furthermore, Ruby said the government should socialize.

The reason, it is not possible to block the phone numbers of the country of the deceiver because judged not to be productive.

"This can not be a call from a blocked country, because there could be family numbers or business interests and so on, so the government must socialize in order to arise awareness of this type of fraud," he said.

Socialization for the moment is the most powerful path, before the victims fall massively in various regions.

One of the things that people should understand is do not be happy when there are calls from abroad.

Ruby reveals to people to check first on the mysterious number that calls.

However, if the number is calling nonstop, it helps you to block the number. If your phone does not have a phone block feature, try downloading on Google Play or Apple Store some apps like Call Blacklist, or Call Blocker.
